Aesha Bhavsar
Co-founder

Hi! I'm Aesha Bhavsar, a junior in high school. My journey is deeply rooted in my Indian heritage, as my parents immigrated from India in 2000. Despite this, growing up in a predominantly white community and attending a mostly white school initially led me to undervalue my culture. However, a recent trip to India, where I explored my roots and saw my parents' upbringing firsthand, transformed my perspective. Witnessing their journey and the richness of my heritage has reignited my passion for and pride in my Indian identity. While I've always been a devoted coffee enthusiast (even making me employee of the month several time at my local coffee shop), my recent experiences have sparked a newfound love for chai. It's more than just a beverage; it's a connection to my culture, a reminder of my roots, and a source of comfort and warmth. This organization is a journey to me as I navigate through life, sharing my experiences, thoughts, and passions, all intertwined with my Indian heritage. Let's embrace culture, coffee, and chai together!

Co-founder
Hi! I’m Samera Kathuria, a sophomore in high school. Growing up as a first-generation Indian, I found myself overlooking my heritage. The one thing that always tied me back to my culture was chai. Chai has held a special place in my heart since childhood. In my family, chai has been more than just a beverage; it has been a symbol of unity and togetherness. Whether in times of hardship or moments of joy, chai has always brought us closer together. Some of my fondest memories with my family have been created over a cup of chai, lovingly prepared by my grandmother, who has since passed away. Her chai was more than just a drink; it was a gesture of love and a tradition that has shaped my connection to my heritage and family bonds. For me, chai is not just a drink; it is a representation of my heritage and family bonds. This is why I am passionate about using this platform to share the unity, joy, and warmth that chai has brought to my life and my culture!
